We’re excited to share our newly developed Sequoia Standards Report, providing essential benchmarking data for the charity sector’s regular giving programmes.

This isn’t just another sector benchmark. Sequoia Standards goes a step further, diving into the drivers behind performance not just the metrics themselves. It’s designed to give you richer, more actionable insight into a specific area of fundraising, helping you understand why things are working (or not), so you can shape smarter strategies.

Drawing from real-life data across our client base, this report highlights key performance metrics such as:

  • Face-to-Face remains the dominant acquisition channel for charities, with a typical organisation finding 55% of new supporters this way.
  • Direct Mail recruits show the highest first-year retention, with 86% still active after 12 months. In contrast, Face-to-Face recruits have the lowest retention at just 50%.
  • Regular gift value is rising, largely due to a shift away from sub-£5 monthly donations. However, the increase is modest and is below inflation.
  • Overall supporter file churn has risen slightly, from 1.3% to 1.5% per month compared to the same time last year.

This anonymised report provides you with a snapshot of how your peers are performing. Want to see how your own metrics compare? Simply provide us with an supply of data, and we’ll be happy to include your specific insights.
